Brian Heiniger, M.D.

Dr. Brian Heiniger is a board-certified medical doctor specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. He is a skilled ophthalmologist that manages many eye conditions, including glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, droopy eyelids, dry eye, and macular degeneration.

Dr. Heiniger attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS for his undergrad and majored in kinesiology. He obtained his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. While attending Vanderbilt, he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and won the J. Donald M. Gass Award for excellence in ophthalmic education and research. Dr. Heiniger completed his internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX and his residency in ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. During residency, Dr. Heiniger served as both clinic chief and surgery chief resident.

Dr. Heiniger has been named a top doctor by multiple publications, including Kansas City Magazine, Find a Top Doc, and Castle Connolly. He's also been named a Rising Star by Castle Connolly. Rising Star is an award given to doctors who are recognized for their outstanding accomplishments and dedication to the field of medicine.

Dr. Heiniger enjoys spending time with his wife Anne, a speech-language pathologist, and their two young children, Lincoln and Claire. When he's not working, Dr. Heiniger's interests include sports, exercise, travel, agriculture, and spending time outdoors.
